Hey everyone! Today I want to talk about the amazing jazz saxophonist, Wayne Shorter
He's an absolute legend and has been a major influence on jazz music for decades
His career spans over 60 years and he's still going strong today! I'm sure many of you have heard his classic tunes like "Footprints" or "Speak No Evil"
But did you know that he also wrote the theme song for the popular cartoon show, The Flintstones? Yep, it's true! And if that wasn't enough, he even composed a symphony called “Adam’s Apple” in 1967
Talk about talent 🤩 But here's something really cool: when asked what advice he would give young musicians starting out in jazz music, Wayne said this: “Listen to your inner voice and don't be afraid to take risks." Now THAT is some great advice right there 👍 So if you're looking for some inspiration or just want to listen to some awesome tunes from one of the greatest jazz artists ever, look no further than Wayne Shorter! 🎷
